Where to find style inspiration.

It’s great to relax and savour a brand new glossy magazine, but the majority of the flagship magazines contain ads and editorial which are pure fantasy, escapism and imagination.  The outfits are not always practical to wear or realistic on the wallet for us real women.  I’d love to splurge on a brand name bag for work.  But I may as well flush that money down the proverbial with the amount of electronic gadgets and gym paraphernalia that I carry around daily.  This beautiful bag wouldn’t stand up to being scuffed on public transport or dumped on questionnable public toilet floors.  But I can still dream!

I find more realistic translations of high fashion on online retail websites, blogs and even the television.  Next time you’ve got the tv on, check out your local newsreader, weather presenter or morning talk show host.  They’ll be styled (by professionals) in outfits that are current and practical.    And if you prefer to surf online, you may want to add these to your bookmarked sites.
